The Catastrophic Theatre honors Big Bang Theory star Jim ParsonsTV-themed gala to be held April 24 at Houston Studios Before Jim Parsons inspired a nation of Sheldon Cooper fans on The Big Bang Theory, he lit up Houston stages with his old pals from Infernal Bridegroom Productions, most of whom now comprise The Catastrophic Theatre. It is our honor to celebrate our favorite local boy made good and the medium that made him famous: TV! At work the artists of The Catastrophic Theatre might be a bunch of arty highbrows but when we get home we’re just like the rest of y’all: laughing our asses off at Jim’s latest escapades on The Big Bang Theory, trading theories about LOST‘s giant smoke monster, hoping against hope we haven’t seen the latest Law and Order re-run and waxing nostalgic about that time Arthur Fonzarelli literally jumped a shark. The Catastrophic Theatre’s parties are already the stuff of legend. This year we’re bringing an actual legend to help us celebrate.
