Still ‘Waiting for Godot,’ 10 years later

Catastrophic Theatre presents a restaging of its production of the famous Samuel Beckett play a decade later, with the same cast.

There are two things you should know about The Catastrophic Theatre’s restaged production of Samuel Beckett’s play Waiting for Godot. First: it’s actually pronounced “GOD-oh” even though we all learned to pronounce it “guh-DOH.” Second, the production features the same cast from its 2013 show (with the addition of Mack Hutchison, taking over the role of the Boy from 2013’s Ty Doran).

In the audio above, we learn more from Jason Nodler (who’s directing) and our own Houston Matters producer Troy Schulze, who plays Lucky.

They discuss why Catastrophic Theatre’s restaging the play (Sept. 29-Oct. 14) at Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston), what’s compelling about this production, and how even the same cast may bring something different to the production with another decade of life experience.
